Our take

A PlayStation 2 action & adventure with a small, quiet following. Not hard to find, priced close to its collector value and expected to rise. Worth owning if it’s on your list, but not one to chase.

Written from MyPlayersVault data as of October 2026.

Why it scores 31

MyPlayersVault rates every game on seven collector pillars. None of its pillars stands out as a real strength; the best are format resilience (moderate) and discovery potential (emerging). Its weaker spots are collector momentum, franchise stability and community endurance (all dormant), cultural relevance (niche) and platform longevity (legacy).

How easy is it to find

It came out with a standard print run and has never been reprinted. Copies turn up regularly, and collector demand is niche. Supply comfortably covers the people looking for it.

What it’s worth

A sealed UK/PAL copy is valued at around £36, with recent prices between £32 and £36. A used copy is around £8, between £5 and £10. MyPlayersVault puts its collector value at about £37 sealed and £8 used, close to what it sells for. These are estimated values with medium confidence. Few sealed copies have sold recently.

Where prices are heading

Its value has been steady and collector interest is quiet. MyPlayersVault’s three-year projection points up: sealed to around £76 (about 111% higher) and used to around £13. If you want one, buying sooner may cost less than buying later. Projections are estimates, not promises.

Which region to buy

The game came out first in the UK and Europe (24 November 2000), then North America (20 September 2002). Of the releases analysed on MyPlayersVault, the North American one is the cheapest sealed (£25) and the UK/PAL one is the cheapest used (£8). It scores highest in its North American release (32). PlayStation 2 games are region-locked, so an import usually needs a console from the same region.

What to check before buying

  • For sealed copies, look closely at the wrap: a resealed copy is worth less than a true factory-sealed one.
  • For used copies, check the disc for scratches and make sure the manual and any inserts are there.
Verdict
MID-ALPHA · Vault Score 31

Rocket Power: Beach Bandits is a middling collector game. It’s not hard to find and priced close to its collector value, with an upward outlook. If you want one to play, a used copy at around £8 is the sensible buy.
